Day 13 - Mourning Forever

When I saw this statue/monument/grave in Nice, France, I literally stood there and cried for at least five minutes. The lady who had this built for her late husband loved him so much that she had the sculptor make her apart of his grave so that she could stay by his side forever.

Day 4- Water Colors

It was hard for me to pick this one out of the 15 or so that I took because I wanted something a little more focused, but I think the blurred fish and bubbles give a good representation of the frenzy that goes on in my little pyramid fish tank. It's artsy :)

Date: Jan. 14th
Time of capture: 9:21PM
Location: On top of my dresser

Day 3 - Memorial (363)

As it is Sunday, I felt that this picture was fitting.

Date: Sept. 5th
Time of Capture: 5:05 PM
Location: Jerry Falwell Memorial, Lynchburg, VA

Day 2 - Flower in winter (364)

"A flower's appeal is in its contradictions - so delicate in form yet strong in fragrance, so small in size yet big in beauty, so short in life yet long on effect." ~Adabella Radici

Date: 1/2/10
Time of capture: 3:02 PM
Place: Front Porch

For all of you freezing Northerners, yes this is a flower. Yes it was taken in winter. No, there is no snow :)

It's a Christmas cactus, and they bloom in winter provided that they are not left outside to freeze. They're mainly house plants, but they like sunshine, so we leave this one outside.

Sincerely,
Supergirl

Day 1. Step 1. Post 1.

Dear Bloggers,

I doubt that you care whether I actually do post every day or not, but if I can actually more or less keep up with this thing for a year, I will hopefully feel a level of achievement or at least some sense of accomplishment. I was roped into this shenanigan
by my dear friend S. Rose [http://threesixfive2010.blogspot.com/] who wanted some company on her journey and so I complied because I love taking pictures of all of Gods great goodness. :)

Basically, the idea of this whole thing is to post one picture a day for 365 days (one year, obviously). The goal is to be more creative as time goes on and to hone my photography skills, so we'll see how that goes.

Follow along if you like - if you don't, I promise not to hold it against you :)

First Picture:

Obviously I didn't take it because I'm IN it, but my dad took it and he's related to me and I wanted to start out with a self portrait, so here it is. The only thing I can take credit for is the creative idea of turning it upside-down so that the reflection in the water is right-side-up.

Sincerely,
Supergirl
